In October 2011 Exmoor National Park obtained a landmark achievement of becoming Europe’s first Dark Sky Reserve (IDR) by the international Dark-Sky Association. Becoming only the second place in the world to enjoy such a status. An accolade that will serve to protect the clear night skies of the national park through a number of strict enforced measures that will heighten controls on light emissions in the area.
Here at the Exmoor White Horse Inn we feel this gives our customers the perfect opportunity to come view the wonders of the vibrant night skies, before retreating back to the warmth of a log fire to enjoy a well deserved whiskey or warming hot drink.
So why not book with us now and witness for yourself.
